Universal Kirtan – Feb 2015 Edition

Location: Yoga on 7th, 156 East 7th (just west of Main Street, alley entrance)

Please join us for Universal Kirtan this coming Sunday, Feb. 1st (please note the schedule variation, not the usual first Saturday of the month). Songs, chants, and poetry from the world’s many religious and spiritual traditions, and the beautiful communion of friendship and music.

We’re thrilled to have a fine ensemble of great musicians coming out (Greg Valou, Ingrid Cheung, Reuben Prensky, Zoey Wren, Nenad Jankovic, Chloe O’Loughlin), and we’re fundraising for a very worthy cause: The Hope Project, one of our long-time charities who provide vocational, nutritional and education services in Delhi, India. Admission: $20 (those on limited budgets can give less, no one’s turned away).


Universal Kirtan – January 2015 Edition

$15 to $20 is the requested donation amount, no one turned away for giving less.

Please join us this Saturday for our first 2015 Universal Kirtan! What better way is there to greet the New Year? Chants & songs from the spectrum of spiritual traditions, togetherness & communion, poetry, exaltation! Also: giving! We’re raising money for FINCA (www.FINCA.org) for their fine and longstanding work in microfinancing small business ventures for women in developing countries.

We have an incredible group of musicians supporting the Kirtan this month: Zoey Wren (vocals), Reuben Prensky (percussion), Ingrid Cheung (flute/vocals), Greg Valou (bass etc.), Nenad Jankovic (tabla & drums), Chloe O’Loughlin (violin/poetry).

Admission: $20. Less is you’re on limited income, just give what you can.


The Caravan of the Heart is the Vancouver centre of the Sufi Order International. The goal of the Caravan is to promote love, harmony, and beauty using the teachings of Sufism and Hazrat Inayat Khan.
